We run our own surf school on Taghazout Bay. The instructors are local, ISA certified, and have read this stretch of water for years. Groups stay small, and the week has a shape to it: out early, back for breakfast, down again in the afternoon if the wind holds.
By the third morning you know who takes the first set, who is still fighting the pop-up, and whose turn it is to carry the boards. People who booked separately leave having planned the next trip together. That is the part no one puts in the brochure.

Four or five mornings, three hours in the water each time, with theory on the sand between sessions. For first-timers through to advanced beginners. Board and wetsuit are yours for the whole week, before and after your sessions.
Same rhythm, harder sections. For surfers whose take-off is solid and who can already ride a green wave unassisted. Board and wetsuit included for the week.
For experienced surfers. Two sessions a day with a guide who reads the forecast and decides which break in Taghazout Bay you are going to, transfer included. Bring your own board, or hire one.

Courses and guiding both run from K11, just along the coast towards Taghazout. The instructors know every shift in the sand, which is how a first-timer and a returning surfer end up in the water within sight of each other. When the forecast says somewhere else is better, guiding moves.

A short walk into town. Bananas, oranges, olives, herbs and spices, and vendors who expect you to haggle and enjoy it. Go for a snack, or for the ingredients if someone in your group has decided to cook.

A palm gorge in the Anti-Atlas with cold freshwater pools to jump into. Take the morning, bring something to eat, and swim until you are hungry again. The classic flat-day plan.

The bigger version of the Tamraght market, and a different kind of day. Marrakech is further inland again and worth an overnight rather than a day trip.
The wind tends to come up through the day, so the cleanest water is usually early. It is also why breakfast here runs late and nobody minds.
Board and wetsuit come with every course. If you are coming for guiding, bring your own board or hire one here rather than paying to fly with it.
There is always one flat day. The people who enjoy it most are the ones who did not have anything booked.
Send us a message and we will put a week together for you — surf, room and anything else you want in it. No deposit to ask a question.
No. The beginner course is built for people who have never stood on a board, and it runs alongside the intermediate group — so friends at different levels can still travel together.
On a course, yes: board and wetsuit are yours for the whole week, before and after your sessions, not just during them. Guiding does not include a board — bring your own or hire one here.
Eight on the four-day option, ten on the five-day. Courses run three hours a morning. Guiding is two sessions a day of an hour and a half, with the spot transfer included.
It needs a small group to go ahead, and the instructors decide whether guiding or the course suits your level. If it does not run that week you can join the course instead.
Our own instructors. The surf school is part of the hotel, not a company we hand you over to, and every coach is certified by the ISA, the International Surfing Association. The person who takes you out is the person you had breakfast with.
Agadir is the closest airport and we can arrange a return shuttle with your stay. Marrakech is further but workable as a one-way transfer. Ask us when you book.
